Another summer comes round and another opportunity to clean our environment appears. In July Sandbach School took to the Ocean to clean, supported greatly by the kindness of Veolia who donated kit to help their efforts.
Every year Cape ED embark on an amazing eco tour where they swim with sharks, clean the beaches, watch whales and change students lives. This year swam to the bottom of the harbour in Simon’s Town and removed 8kgs of waste ranging from bottles to lollipop sticks. We also spent time on the beaches removing 12kgs of waste from the beach.
The kind donations of safety gear and PPE will remain in South Africa to support future clean up operations. Special appreciation to Tony from Veolia who travelled to volunteer with Cape ED and support the cause.
